Pocketive makes occasion dresses that are part of the festivities, not just something you wear to them. On theme, tasteful, and with a pocket for whatever the day (or night) hands you.
Last November I went on a Hallmark Christmas cruise with the matriarchs of my family, and it was my job to find us matching outfits for every day of the trip. There were plenty of ugly sweaters, plaids and novelty tees, and of course the default red dress or green dress. Nothing feminine and flowy that felt festive. Nothing that said Christmas in a tasteful, not costumey way.
So I made it.
Alas, Pocketive was born. One dress, designed and made in Denver in a small run, printed with art from four different artists. Each print is its own kind of Christmas. There are a hundred of each, and when they’re gone they’re gone.
A little about me. I live in Colorado, but grew up in California and spent a few years in Florida. I’m not outdoorsy, which everyone here finds pretty ironic given where I chose to live. I have a French bulldog, I make ice cream and I own a comical number of Christmas decorations.
I’m not a fashion company. I’m one person who loves Christmas and finally made the dress I kept looking for. Christmas is chapter one. It’s not where this ends.

The whole dress is made by a small shop near my home. I pick the finished dresses up myself.
A lightweight knit from an Italian mill. Soft, drapes well and packs flat.
One hundred dresses per print, no restocks this season. When a size sells out, that's it until next year.
Fitted through the shoulders and bust, flowy everywhere else. The neckline is the whole point: wide, deep, shows your collarbones, never scandalous. The rest of the dress just gets out of your way. Sit, eat, dance, put your phone in your pocket. You'll feel good in it and you'll forget you're wearing it, which is the best thing a dress can do.

There's no one Pocketive look. Each print is a different take on the holiday, so you can pick the one that feels like you. One hundred dresses of each.
I'll be at markets and pop-ups around Denver this season with the dresses in every size. Dates go out to the list first. If you're not local, my fit guide has real women in real sizes with their measurements, and you can always text me with fit questions.
